Motorcycle T-shirts

All of our motorbike T-shirts are made exclusively of 100% ring spun combed organic cotton.

What is ring spun combed cotton?

After selecting the highest quality fibers, they go through a spinning process, which makes them softer, finer, stronger and more durable. Another step up in the process is combing, which removes any impurities and imperfect strands. This all makes the cotton superior and less prone to shrinkage than uncombed and open end cotton, which make up for most of the cotton garment production worldwide.

Side-seamed motorcycle T-shirts

All of our motorbike T-shirts are side-seamed as opposed to tubular T-shirts. Tubular T-shirts are cheaper to make, since they require less sewing. They are made from one single circular piece of fabric. Side-seemed T-shirts provide for a superior and more flattering fit, as human bodies are not the shape of a tube. Side-seamed T-shirts also resist torquing, which happens to cheap T-shirts after washing as the garment begins to twist. Side seams help to hold the structure of the garment together and keep the print straight and on the chest where it’s supposed to be.

Rev Up Your Style: A Guide to Choosing the Perfect Motorcycle Shirt

Are you a bike enthusiast who loves hitting the open road and feeling the wind? If so, you know that the right gear is essential for a safe and comfortable ride. But beyond helmets and jackets, one item that can really show off your style and attitude is a biker T-shirt. Whether you prefer classic designs or bold graphics, there's a perfect shirt out there for you. In this guide, we'll explore some tips for choosing the right motorcycle shirt to match your personality and make a statement on the road.

Purpose of a shirt

Before you start shopping for a motorcycle shirt, it's important to consider its purpose. Will you be wearing it while riding or for a casual day out? If you'll be wearing it while riding, you'll want to look for shirts that are made from breathable, moisture-wicking materials that will keep you comfortable and dry in different weather conditions. On the other hand, if you're looking for a shirt to wear out and about, you have more flexibility in terms of style and fabric choices. Keep in mind that some shirts may be suitable for both riding and lifestyle, so make sure to read the product descriptions carefully before making your purchase.

Type of shirt

Another factor to consider when choosing a motorcycle shirt is the sleeve length. Short sleeve shirts are great for warmer weather and allow for more air flow, making them a popular choice for riders. They also give you the freedom to show off your tattoos or arm muscles. Long sleeve shirts, on the other hand, provide more protection from the sun, wind, and other elements, making them a good choice for longer rides or cooler weather. They also offer more coverage for those who prefer to keep their arms covered.

The choice is determined also by the fit of your motorcycle jacket and its lining. For some tighter jackets, short sleeve shirts just don’t feel comfortable both in the sleeve and body area. With short sleeve shirts, we usually opt for more loose fit, which could be trouble with tight jackets and when a bit moist, getting in and out of your jacket sleeves can be unpleasant. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and the type of riding you'll be doing.

Material

The choice of material is also all yours. Let”s explore the differences between regular uncombed open end cotton and organic ring-spun combed cotton as well as the main differences between merino wool and bamboo.

Cotton

Most T-shirts on the market are made from uncombed and open end cotton. This type of cotton is cheaper to produce and has a shorter lifespan compared to other types of cotton. The fibers in uncombed cotton are shorter and not as strong, which can lead to pilling and shrinking after washing. Additionally, open end cotton is made using a spinning process that creates a rougher texture, making the fabric less comfortable against the skin. While these T-shirts may be cheaper and widely available, they may not provide the best quality or comfort for motorcycle riders.

Organic cotton ring spun combed

If you're looking for a more comfortable and eco-friendly option, organic ring-spun combed cotton T-shirts are a great alternative. Unlike uncombed cotton, ring-spun cotton is made by twisting and thinning cotton fibers to create a softer and smoother texture. Combing the cotton before spinning removes any impurities and creates a more uniform and durable fabric. Organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals, making it a safer and more sustainable choice for both you and the environment. With its soft, breathable, and long-lasting qualities, organic ring-spun combed cotton T-shirts are a top pick for motorcycle riders who value comfort and quality.

Merino wool and bamboo

When it comes to functional materials for motorcycle shirts, merino wool and bamboo are two popular options. Merino wool is known for its exceptional moisture-wicking properties, making it ideal for hot climates and intense rides. It also has natural odor-resistant properties, so you can wear it for longer without worrying about any unpleasant smells. However, merino wool can be quite expensive and may not be as durable as other materials, which can be a concern for motorcycle riders. On the other hand, bamboo is a more affordable and durable option. It is highly breathable, moisture-wicking, and has natural anti-bacterial properties to keep you fresh and comfortable during long rides. Additionally, it is resistant to rubbing and abrasion, making it a great choice for wearing under protective gear. Overall, bamboo is a great option for motorcycle riders who are looking for a functional and budget-friendly shirt without sacrificing quality or comfort.

Construction

When it comes to the construction of motorcycle shirts, there are two main types: tubular cut and side-seamed. Tubular cut shirts are made by knitting a continuous tube of fabric and then cutting the armholes and neck opening. This type of construction is less expensive and less time-consuming, which makes tubular cut shirts more affordable. However, tubular cut shirts can have a boxy fit and may not be as comfortable as side-seamed shirts. On the other hand, side-seamed shirts are made by sewing separate pieces of fabric together, which allows for a more fitted and flattering look. Side-seamed shirts can also be more durable and provide a better range of motion for motorcycle riders. Both options of biker tshirts come in the crew neck option.

Size and Fit

When it comes to choosing the right size and fit for your motorcycle shirt, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, it's important to note that there are typically mens, womens, and unisex options available, so make sure to choose the option that best suits your body type. In terms of fit, there are generally three options: relaxed, medium, and fitted. Relaxed fits offer a looser, more comfortable fit that is great for casual riding or everyday wear. Medium fits are a balance between a relaxed and fitted fit, providing a comfortable yet flattering look. Fitted fits are more form-fitting and are great for showing off your physique, but keep in mind that they may not be as comfortable for long rides or if you plan on layering your shirt. Lastly, always make sure to use a size chart before choosing a specific size. This will ensure that you get the best possible fit and avoid any unnecessary returns or exchanges.

Style

Motorbike T-shirt One track mind

When it comes to choosing a motorcycle shirt, style is just as important as comfort and construction. A black color tee with an original printed art design is a great choice for adding some personality to your riding gear. Look for designs that reflect your personal style, whether it's a skull graphic or a vintage-inspired print, or T-shirts in your favorite motorcycle brand colors like Harley Davidson’s black/white orange or Kawasaki’s green/black. Make sure the design is high-quality and won't fade or peel after multiple washes. A black tee is also a versatile option that can be paired with any color of protective gear or accessories. Overall, choose a style that represents your attitude and love for riding, while still providing the necessary comfort and functionality for a safe and enjoyable ride.

Brand and story

Choosing a motorcycle shirt from a brand that has a story you identify with can add an extra layer of meaning and connection to your riding gear. Look for brands that have a history rooted in motorcycle culture or a mission that aligns with your values. For example, if you're a fan of vintage-inspired designs, seek out brands that draw inspiration from classic motorcycle styles. Or if you really like original things, look for brands that produce motorcycle apparel in small numbers of copies and have collections designed and made for bikers by bikers. By choosing a brand that resonates with you on a personal level, you can show off your love for riding while supporting a company that shares your values and vision.

Environmental impact

When selecting a motorcycle shirt, you may also want to consider the social and environmental impact of its production and packaging. Look for brands that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices in their manufacturing and sourcing of materials. Opt for products made with organic cotton or recycled materials that minimize the use of harmful chemicals and reduce waste. Additionally, choose brands that prioritize fair labor practices and support local communities. Consider the packaging as well - look for brands that use minimal and eco-friendly packaging materials, or even better, choose companies that offer plastic-free or compostable packaging options. By making conscious choices, you can enjoy your motorcycle shirt while contributing to a more sustainable and responsible fashion industry.

Conclusion

In summary, picking the perfect motorcycle shirt or biker tee involves considering factors such as style, brand and story, and environmental impact. By selecting a design that reflects your attitude and love for riding, choosing a brand that aligns with your values, and prioritizing sustainability and ethical practices, you can proudly wear your motorcycle shirt while contributing to a more responsible fashion industry. With so many options available, it's easy to find a shirt that not only looks great but also makes a positive impact. Happy shopping and riding!
